You must be one of the dumbest individuals in the universe if you even consider paying Best Buy's Geek Squad $US 129.99 to "setup and configure gaming console and installation of the latest firmware updates"
Apparently the offer is considered a "bargain" because it is offered after you purchase a PLAYSTATION 3. Wow, I guess we better take Best Buy on its offer and purchase a PS3 to avail of the $US 129.99 setup.
Setting up a PS3 is as easy as reading the damn manual that comes with it then plugging it in to the outlet. Installation of the firmware updates? Holy rusted metal Batman, the PS3 automatically installs updates once it's connected to the internet. Paying someone $US 129.99 to stand around and wait to press the 'X' button for confirmation of the firmware download is very wrong.
What's next? $US 129.99 for Best Buy's Geek Squad to help you put on your pants? Come on Best Buy, please offer us something actually worth the $US 129.99 price tag. Even hookers cost less than the $US 129.99 offer or so I'm told.
Best Buy's forum was filled with customers who feel the deal is a rip off. To be fair, a member of the Geek Squad stated that they offer the "service" to people who can't figure out how to set the PS3 up even after reading the manual.
Well, maybe there really are people who don't know how setup their gaming system? Maybe that's the reason why Best Buy offered the service in the first place? Let us hope that none of us know anyone who has needed to purchase this "service"
*disclaimer* - we don't intend to offend anyone who DID purchase the service...we just think that we are better than you!
Yes....we are pricks. That is all
