Welcome to "Il derby d'Italia". Its another amazing night at San Siro Stadium in Milano. Its the Italian Cup quarter-finals: F.C.Inter versus Juventus. Its a cold night here with -3 Degrees Celsius, adding to the excitement of the game between F.C. Inter vs. Javentus. Inter seems very determined to win the game versus Juventus. Jude found a goal off Diego caused by a bad error suffered by Toldo. In the last few games Inter needed a recovery. This time seems like another game with the same gruelling performance by Inter. Juventus had been stuck in its midfield all the match, trying desperately to close all the spaces in the field. Its defensive team has not been good enough to do this job. After the break, Inter came back with Lucio, immediately scoring a goal and Balotelli who scored the decisive goal in the final . Inter now has to face Fiorentina in the semi-finals on Thursday. This yet is another bitter pill for Bianconeri. Is it the last game of Coach Ferrara?

MILANO, January 28, 2009 - Javentus hoping beyond hope that its efforts go up against enourmous odds. Javentus failed again in the Italian Cup. When switched on the talent, we could expect something magical to happen in every single moment. Magic was happening on that game.At the 89th minute mark, after a shot by Thiago Motta, Balotelli has been the first to get to the ball and with a precise shot, scored the victory goal. A smile on his face, reflects his determination to win. A usual reaction for this guy after his victory goal, elevating his team to another win.

 

Banners on the bleachers - Two baners had been seen. The Inter's "curva" (fans) got some satisfaction after seeing the message: "Non toccate Ferrara (did not tap Ferrara" and "Non spariamo sulla croce rossa (We did not shoot at the red cross)". Some leading cheers at the kick-off with a succession elates : "You will win the tricolor (Tricolor is scudetto which means the title" and "You'll be in Serie A". This can be attested as the summary of the ruthless ambition ofthe Javentus team.

COMEBACK FROM INTER - Mourinho's decisive formation on the field can be described as the best one. The only substitutes in line were : Materazzi, in the middle of the defensive line and Toldo. Materazzi did a great job, with Inter winning the game. There was no problem at all. In the first half, Balotelli (with a good start and a rather sleepy middle game) and Pandev did a good job, keeping the Juventus defense always alert. Milito is obviously another player that can keep the ball up, with his advanced defensive skills, no one can steal the ball from him. Inter has tried with shots from long range. Sneijder, tried to respond to the Javentus goal, immediately from a distance of 11' with Buffon deflecting the shot in the corner. No other player had come close shooting a goal defended by Buffon except Maicon. His tenacity has almost transformed to points. But the Brazilian missed his chances and he had seemed a bit confused today. A mediocre performance by Maicon this season, he has yet to show the tenacity and superior performance which has been his trademark during last season. Another talent just waiting for the right moment to shine is Santon. At his first exit from his position at 77', he exhibited a dangerous shot - claiming that he is for certain another star to look out for.Thiago Motta has been a shadow for all the game but he had decided this game with the last shot.Zanetti performed at his usual. Our best player on the field has been Sneijder.

SAD JUVE - Ferrara is going home in my opinion. How long can the Javentus society allow this result? The reality is that there are not many options at the moment which leaves Ferrara as the teamcoach. This is a very difficule period for Ciro, with a lot of his players injured and a lot of pressure to push the team. What do we have to say about Juve tonight? Diego worked behind the usual evanescent Amauri, and does it pretty well. The Brazilian has been the best on the field for Bianconeri. Melo and Sissoko have done had played a damaging phase. Whenever they tried to raise their heads and pass the ball forward, nothing good happens. Sissoko had a little shoulder injury, playing most of the games injured. Nobody could expect a good performance from him. Candreva and DeCeglei have been uselies on the wings. The best players on the field have been Chiellini and Buffon.
